Our 5-Step Remodeling Process

We take the stress out of remodeling by keeping you informed, involved, and confident at every stage of your project.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU CALL

Remodeling Done Right, From Day One

One of the most common anxieties homeowners have is not knowing what to expect after they contact a contractor. We built our process around eliminating that uncertainty.

Every Diodato Construction project follows the same proven five-step journey — carefully designed to protect your investment, respect your home, and deliver results that exceed your expectations. From the first call to the final handshake, you will always know where things stand.

THE DIODATO PROCESS

Every Step, Explained

Here is exactly what happens at each phase of your remodeling project — no guesswork required.

1

Free Consultation & Estimate

It all starts with a conversation. Contact us by phone or through our online form, and we will schedule a time to visit your home at your convenience. During this no-obligation consultation, we listen carefully to your goals, assess the project scope, take measurements, and answer every question you have. Within a few days, we deliver a detailed, itemized written estimate — no vague ballparks, no hidden fees.

Typically scheduled within 3–5 business days of your inquiry.

2

Project Planning & Agreement

Once you decide to move forward, we get into the details together. We review the full project scope, finalize material selections, confirm the timeline, and put everything in writing. Our contract is clear and straightforward — you will know exactly what is included, when work begins, and what the payment schedule looks like. No surprises. We also handle any necessary permit applications so you don't have to navigate bureaucracy alone.

Planning and agreement phase typically takes 1–2 weeks depending on project complexity.

3

Material Procurement & Scheduling

Before a single tool is picked up, we ensure every material, fixture, and component needed for your project is sourced, ordered, and confirmed. We work with trusted suppliers to secure quality materials at competitive prices. Your start date is locked in and communicated clearly, and you will always know who will be on-site and when. This preparation phase is what allows our crews to work efficiently and minimize disruptions to your household.

Procurement and scheduling typically takes 1–3 weeks based on material lead times.

Expert Construction & Regular Updates

This is where 25 years of craftsmanship comes to life. Our experienced crew arrives on time, works methodically through each phase of the project, and maintains a clean, organized jobsite throughout. We protect your floors, furniture, and adjacent spaces from dust and damage. You are never left wondering about progress — we provide regular updates, welcome your questions, and promptly address any concerns that arise. Attention to detail is not an afterthought; it is built into how we work.

Construction timelines vary by project: small projects 1–2 weeks, full remodels 4–10 weeks.

Final Walkthrough & Your Approval

We do not consider a project done until you are completely satisfied. Before we close out any job, we conduct a thorough final walkthrough with you. We review every detail, test every fixture, and address any items on your punch list immediately. Only when you are happy with the finished result do we consider the project complete. Our relationship does not end at project close — we stand behind our work and remain available for any follow-up questions or needs.

Final walkthrough is scheduled within 1–2 days of project completion.

PROCESS QUESTIONS

Common Questions About Our Process

We believe an informed homeowner is a confident homeowner. Here are the questions we hear most often.

Do I need to be home during construction?

You do not need to be home every day, but we do ask that someone is available for the initial start day and the final walkthrough. For larger projects, we coordinate a daily communication method that works best for you — whether that is texts, calls, or email updates.

How are permits handled?

Diodato Construction manages all necessary permit applications on your behalf. We know the local requirements inside and out, and we ensure every project is fully code-compliant from start to finish. Permit costs, where applicable, are included in your written estimate.

What if I want to make changes mid-project?

Scope changes happen, and we handle them professionally. Any change to the original project scope is documented in a written change order that outlines the cost and timeline impact before any additional work begins. No verbal agreements — everything is in writing.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept check and major credit cards. Payment schedules are outlined clearly in your contract, typically structured as a deposit at signing, a progress payment at a defined milestone, and a final payment upon your approval at walkthrough.

How far in advance do I need to book?

Our schedule varies by season and project demand. We recommend reaching out as early as possible — particularly for spring and summer exterior projects, which tend to book quickly. Contact us to check current availability.
